Easier seam picking for tight seams

Sometimes for whatever reason, usually when sewing something thick or unruly, the sewing machine likes, let's call it "stall" a little bit which of course tightens your entire seam up to a stitch you can barely see anymore. 

Then you dread it, when you realize that you have to undo it all and make a correction.

What the heck is that! It is a technique for making scrunchies and other things. Your project will have been sewn into a circle at this point so we will start from there. I will use a scrunchie as an example for this method.

Sometimes it is fun to make more custom looking scrunchies rather than the standard type we usually see. This tutorial is for a fancy scrunchie that has trim all around the outer edge.
