I can't say it's been great. They say things come in three's; well it sure did and then some. We lost 2 family members this year, very suddenly. I won't go into who/what relations they were for privacy reasons. And then three elderly pets as well, 2 of which were mine.
Lana lost her elderly dog due to old age. Then it was our old cat Missy, short for Mischief passed in September; finally losing the battle with her ongoing health problems. Then not even a month later, our dog Maggie very suddenly had a heart attack and passed instantly. Talk about shocking. She had just been to the vet within the last month and was diagnosed with a heart murmur. A plan was made for her "down the road care", but we just never got there.
Despite it all, we persevered, and made it to the recent Elks market. Had a few very embarrassing and public crying sessions there but then moved onward.
What now? We don't know. Right now we just invite the "grand-doggies and kitties" over and that seems to help fill the void somewhat. Our young cat Annie (Orphan Annie) (5 yrs) thinks otherwise however. She is a skiddish one and hides when company comes over.
Now it is November already and this coming weekend is the start of our every weekend market marathon. (see artisan market schedule)
Lana, will be a D-Coy with her daughter (my daughter in law) Sandie who makes the wonderful cookie mixes that we sell. So come out to D-Coy Armouries if you want to meet the cook herself! I also hear that Santa and Mrs. Claus might be there too!
I will be a Grovedale Arena for our local Christmas market. I've done this market since 2022, and don't want to break with tradition so to speak, so we are dividing and conquering!
If you are making a day of it, we'd love to see you at both markets.
